The Life of Thomas Hardy (Blackwell Critical Biographies)

THE WRITER AND THE MAN
A wealth of information! A fantastic book for anyone who loves Hardy's poems, short stories or novels and wants to know more about the man behind the pen. Much of the book's merit is in its lay-out. Each in the series of thirty-two chapters relates to a single work providing a wealth of penetrating insights into both biographical and literary facts (Hardy's passion for Greek tragedy, Latin poetry, Shakespeare, his interest in architecture and work as an architect, his marriage) - and how closely these were intertwined. Throughout the book there is a compelling sense of how compulsively Hardy the man worked to develop the extraordinarily creativity of Hardy the writer. A wide ranging and scholarly book that is wonderfully informative and never, ever dull.

Hardy Boys #16 Line of Fire
I enjoyed this book. I like reading about detective stories. My favorite part of the book was when George tracked the Hardys down in the warehouse. I would have never thought to throw burning paper at him! The only bad part was the language. They used lingo that sounded like it was from the 50's. In all, it was a great book to read and i would recommend it to all ages.

The Money Hunt (Hardy Boys, No 101)

Excellent
This was Hardy Boys book brought the classic group of guests who didn't know one another, but were all suspected of a crime. I have read several Hardy Boys Books, and this was the first I have read which used this in the plot. I thought it was one of the better Digests, at a time where several were aching for good plots. I recommend this as a first Hardy Boys Book for new fans!!

An Excellent Primer on Stan and Ollie
This is an excellent "first book" for anyone interested in the comedic brilliance of The Boys. It provides biographical info and a decent filmography. A good introduction to a great pair of clowns.

Murder by Magic (The Hardy Boys Casefiles, No 98)
Published in Paperback by Simon Pulse (April, 1995)
Authors: Franklin W. Dixon and Anne Greenberg

Terrific
This was a VERY good book. I have always liked the casefiles better than the regular series, but this was one of the better ones. It wasn't very difficult to figure out who did it, but it WAS hard to figure out why. It also didn't feature Chet in a very promenent role which gets tiring however Biff and Tony (my favorite of the supporting people) didn't have large roles. Still it did gain 4 stars. I will close by saying this is a must for Hardy Boys fans!

Very nice book
I really enjoyed this book. The pictures were great. I used this as a resource for my schoolage children in the Summer Schoolage program. The pictures were in full color and helped my children distinguish the difference between objects (ex. trees). I will gladly use this book again!

This is a wonderful mystery for kids! It goes at a quick pace and is exciting from the very first page. It also teaches the reader a little bit about falconry.

Exciting travel in a beautiful part of the world
Justine Hardy a young british adventurer gathered a group of travelers together when the area in Ladakh, India was just opened for recreational travel. She writes a fascinating account of this journey that is well worth reading if you plan any travel in the Indian Himalaya.

She has spent many years working and traveling in India and her love of the country and affection for the many who assisted her on this innovative journey is apparent. Well worth the effort if you can find this out of print book
